Queen Omega

Queen Omega, born Jeneile Osborne around 1981 in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, is a reggae singer known for her roots reggae style influenced by her Rastafarian faith. She began her musical journey performing in calypso and soca bands before transitioning to reggae. After moving to England, she launched her recording career in 2000, releasing her self-titled debut album in 2001 and subsequently working with the Green House Family label. Her early albums include Pure Love (2003), Away From Babylon (2004), and Destiny (2005), and she gained recognition performing at festivals such as Rebel Salute in Jamaica. Queen Omega toured extensively, performing at reggae festivals across North America, Europe, and Brazil, collaborating with artists like Jah Sun and Marcia Griffiths. Her music is marked by spiritual and socially conscious themes, reflecting her Rastafarian beliefs. She continued to expand her reach through collaborations, such as featuring on Hungarian singer Azahriah’s song “four moods 2,” while connecting with global audiences through her energetic performances and recorded work. In 2023, Queen Omega achieved viral fame when her song “No Love Dubplate,” a collaboration with Swiss DJ Little Lion Sound, garnered over 45 million views on YouTube. She expressed gratitude to her fans, emphasizing that her career was driven by connecting people through music rather than seeking hype. However, during her 2022–2023 European festival tours, she attracted controversy for describing the COVID-19 pandemic as a “plandemic” and claiming it was fabricated by governments.
