Me and You is a reggae group originating from a musical family and discovered by Dennis Brown in 1974. Early in their career, they worked with notable producers including Alton Ellis, Castro Brown, Dennis Brown, and Granville Blake to create the albums Natty Dread and Natty Dread Version, which were recently released for the first time. Their debut single, "This Love", reached the top 10 on the reggae charts, followed by "You Never Know What You Got (Til It’s Gone)", which not only topped the reggae chart but also crossed over to the UK Singles Chart, reaching number 31 in 1979. These tracks were featured on their album From Me To You, recorded with backing from the We The People Band, and their success helped them tour as part of the DEB Music showcase and earn recognition as one of the best newcomers in the 1980 Black Echoes awards. Alongside these roots tracks, they also produced soulful love songs like "Hand It Over", "Natural High", "Gee Baby", and "I Wanna Know", collaborating with bands such as The Wailers, Chinna’s High Times Band, and Skin Flesh & Bones. Throughout their career, Me and You have demonstrated versatility, blending roots, dancehall, ragga, ska, dub, and rocksteady with influences from R&B, soul, garage, and pop. Their music has reached audiences worldwide, including Jamaica, the Far East, the US, and Europe, cultivating a loyal global fan base. The group…
