Iration is an American reggae band formed in 2004 in Isla Vista, California, near UC Santa Barbara. They are known for blending reggae with rock and pop influences, and have built a strong reputation for energetic live performances. History Formation and New Roots EP (2006) Iration began by playing reggae covers in college towns across California. They recorded their first EP, New Roots, in 2006, earning attention for their live shows. No Time To Rest (2007) Their first full-length album, No Time for Rest, was released in 2007 and reached #1 on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart. Sample This EP (2008) In 2008, Iration went on their first national tour, opening for Pepper. On October 3, 2008, they released the Sample This EP, which debuted as the #3 top-selling reggae album worldwide on iTunes. Time Bomb (2010) and Fresh Grounds EP (2011) The band released their second album, Time Bomb, in March 2010, which also topped the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart and sold over 36,000 copies. Their third EP, Fresh Grounds, released in February 2011, reached #147 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart. Automatic (2013) and Touring After extensive U.S. touring, Iration released Automatic in July 2013. The album sold over 8,000 copies in its first week and topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Guitarist Lincoln Parish of Cage the Elephant contributed to the album. Kai's Departure and Hotting Up (2013–2015) On April 5, 2013, vocalist Kai Rediske left the band, reportedly due to personal and touring commitments. Their fourth album, Hotting Up, released in August 2015, again topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart. Double Up Acoustic Album (2016) On December 2, 2016, Iration released Double Up, an acoustic album featuring reworked versions of songs from their catalog. It reached #2 on the Billboard Reggae…
