Country: Jamaica
Born to a Seventh-day Adventist mother, Pauline McCaulsky, and a Rastafarian father, Edwards discovered his musical calling at the age of seven when he began singing in church. This early exposure to music and spirituality helped shape his vocal style and passion for performance from a very young age. He was raised in King Weston District, a small rural community in St. Andrew, Jamaica, where his talent became increasingly evident. Recognizing his potential, his parents sought opportunities to nurture his gift and eventually introduced him to Mr. Wong, a record producer based in Portmore, St. Catherine. Despite the encouragement, Edwards initially did not take the opportunity seriously. He later recalled often avoiding studio visits until one day his family dropped him at Mr. Wong’s studio and left him there. That moment marked the true beginning of his musical journey, setting him on the path toward a professional career.
