Wayne Ford Levy (born c.1981), professionally known as Exco Levi, is a Jamaican-Canadian reggae artist based in Brampton, Ontario. Born in Manchester Parish, Jamaica, he began singing in school choirs and was influenced by sound-system culture through his father. After relocating to Canada in 2005, he launched his recording career in 2007 and quickly gained recognition for his roots-driven, conscious reggae sound. Exco Levi has become one of Canada’s most celebrated reggae musicians, winning five Juno Awards and earning multiple additional nominations. His breakout success came with “Bleaching Shop”, followed by award-winning songs such as “Storms of Life,” “Strive,” “Welcome the King,” and “Siren.” He has performed at major reggae festivals including Sting and Rebel Salute, and released acclaimed albums such as Country Man and Narrative, collaborating with artists like Sizzla and Raging Fyah. Known for blending Jamaican roots with global reggae influences, Exco Levi continues to represent Canadian reggae on the international stage. In 2016, he was inducted into the Brampton Arts Walk of Fame, further cementing his impact as a leading voice in modern roots reggae.
