Errol “Flabba” Holt is a Jamaican bassist, session musician, and producer whose career has spanned from the early 1970s to the present. Early Career Holt began in the early 1970s as a session musician, backing reggae artists such as Don Carlos and Prince Far I. In 1976, he had a sound system hit with his own track, "A You Lick Me First". The Morwells and Roots Radics Later in 1976, Holt joined The Morwells. He co-founded the Roots Radics Band with guitarist Eric “Bingy Bunny” Lamont, a group that became one of the most influential backing bands in reggae, providing the instrumental foundation for countless vocalists and groups throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. Collaborations and Production Work Holt recorded and toured with top reggae acts such as Israel Vibration, Mikey Dread, Sugar Minott, Mutabaruka, Bunny Wailer, and Yami Bolo. As a producer, he worked with: Jah Stitch Dennis Brown – Blood Brothers and Milk & Honey Delroy Wilson – Which Way Is Up Beres Hammond Gregory Isaacs, including co-producing Isaacs’ successful album Night Nurse. Legacy Holt’s basslines and production style have been integral to the roots reggae and dancehall sound. He continues to work in studios with various artists and tours with Israel Vibration, maintaining his influence in contemporary reggae
