Eric Norman Lamont, known professionally as Bingy Bunny, was a highly influential Jamaican guitarist and singer. Born in Kingston, he rose to prominence in the 1970s, first recording as a duo with Bongo Herman before becoming a key member of The Morwells. He later co-founded the legendary Roots Radics, Jamaica’s most in-demand session band, working with artists such as Gregory Isaacs, Barrington Levy, Mikey Dread, and Bunny Wailer. Renowned for his innovative guitar style, Bingy Bunny also released solo material before his death in 1993. His legacy was honored with the tribute album Kingston 12 Toughie in 1996.
