Cedella Marley Minto (born August 23, 1967) is a Jamaican singer and entrepreneur, daughter of reggae legends Bob and Rita Marley, and mother of Skip Marley. She was a member of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, alongside her siblings Ziggy, Stephen, and Sharon. With the group, Cedella won three Grammy Awards and contributed to hits like “Tumblin’ Down”, “Tomorrow People”, and “Look Who’s Dancin’”. She also appeared in films such as The Mighty Quinn (1989) and Joey Breaker (1993). After the Melody Makers disbanded in 2002, Cedella expanded her career beyond music. She became CEO of Tuff Gong International, oversees her family's charitable organization 1Love, and launched several clothing lines including Catch a Fire, High Tide, and Nice Time Deconstructed. She also designed the Jamaican track and field uniforms for the 2012 Olympics and presented menswear inspired by her father in 2014, with proceeds supporting the Jamaica women’s national football team, the Reggae Girlz. Cedella is deeply involved in philanthropy, serving as acting director of the Bob Marley Foundation, which provides educational and community development programs across Jamaica. She played a pivotal role in reviving and funding the Reggae Girlz, supporting their journey to qualify for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, combining her passion for sports, culture, and social impact.
