In Partnership with Fashion Sizzle
FEATURED ARTIST: GARVIN GRAY
Photographer | Cultural Archivist | Founder of Bonita Jamaica
Born in the serene town of Buff Bay, Portland, Jamaica, Garvin Gray is a visual storyteller whose lens captures the vibrant heartbeat of Jamaican culture. Migrating to the United States in December 1999, he launched Bonita Jamaica in 2006, a multimedia project committed to positively promoting Jamaica to a global audience through photography and video.
🖼️ THE EXHIBITION: BONITA JAMAICA COLLECTION
Garvin Gray’s featured works, drawn from the world-renowned Bonita Jamaica Photo Collection, showcase:
-
Reggae street culture and community life
-
Spiritual and cultural rituals
-
Portraits of everyday Jamaicans
-
Natural landscapes and urban vibrance
Each image serves as a visual echo of reggae music—bold, soulful, and unapologetically Jamaican.
“Every frame tells a story of resilience, love, and the richness of our identity.” — Garvin Gray
PHOTOGRAPHY MEETS REGGAE
This exhibition aligns with the Reggae Museum’s mission to preserve and promote Jamaican heritage. Much like reggae music, Garvin Gray’s images serve as a living archive—capturing the unfiltered beauty of Jamaica’s people, struggles, and celebrations.
Through image and rhythm, we tell Jamaica’s story.
